Tell Us Why People Should Choose Laura Greene, Careers Advisor
I have unique qualifications in personality assessment, Life Coaching and industry experience which I leverage to practically assist my clients succeed in their careers. I believe the key factor for matching an individual to a satisfying career is their personality not just their abilities.
Firstly, the psychometric instruments I use create an in-depth profile of the individual taking into consideration a person’s abilities, motivations and personality. You are given personalised careers and education advice, helping you to choose options and make informed decisions about study pathways and career opportunities available to you.
I then use some Life Coaching approaches/tools to help you discover who you really are and what may be stopping you from achieving career success.
Finally, I work with you to develop a Career Action Plan to achieve your career success. All the time when I work with a client I make them aware of employability options in the sector best suited to them. The aim of employability development is to make you employable – to have the skills, abilities, knowledge, and experience that employers want – so that you can compete for and obtain the jobs you want, and to succeed in them once you have them.
When choosing a course you do need to think about the specific role it will prepare you for and to ensure the course is well matched to industry demand. “To be employed is to be at risk, to be employable is to be secure”. Peter Hawkins (1999)
